I'm so ready for this cold spell to be over. I am just not cut out for this bone-chilling coldness. However, one thing that comes with it being so cold is school closings. And because Dan is now back in school he got to experience his first "snow day" in probably close to a decade. So what did we do with it? We slept in a bit and lounged around the house until we decided to finally get moving for the day.
We went over to visit with Katie and Scott for the day. Scott really wanted Dan to play trains with him so we all just played in his room for a few hours while I also multi-tasked and did some laundry.

Because it was Monday, that meant the night would end in only one way, suffer through Pokemon League and be rewarded by getting to have game night with friends at Giant Eagle. So that's exactly what happened. It's one of my favorite parts of the week, to be quite honest. And I'm grateful for the routine of it. I like knowing that at least one day of the week will be dedicated to just hanging out with friends and being dumb. Taking things that other people didn't mean to say, in the worst way possible and holding it against them til the end of time. That's what friends are for. Right?
It's also nice to have new friends coming into our circle and feeling comfortable enough with us to join in and be just as horrible as we are.
